Guidance From Someone Who Knows the System — and Has Lived It
Dr. Jacqueline Minor, PhD is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, certified HR professional (PHR, SHRM-CP), and the founder of Minor Consulting Group. With a career spanning healthcare, energy, and manufacturing, Dr. Minor has led hundreds of workplace investigations, managed complex employee relations matters, and advised organizations on HR compliance at the executive level.
The Worker’s Compass was born from personal experience. After navigating her own workplace discrimination and retaliation complaint process firsthand, Dr. Minor recognized a critical gap: employees facing the EEOC, NLRB, and DOL processes are largely on their own — overwhelmed, underprepared, and unable to afford legal counsel.
She built The Worker’s Compass to change that.
Dr. Minor also hosts The I/O Edge podcast, where she bridges industrial-organizational psychology with real-world HR challenges — including episodes dedicated to workplace rights, the complaint process, and what employees need to know to advocate for themselves.
Justice Shouldn't Have a Price Tag You Can't Afford

That’s why every service we offer includes a sliding scale pricing option. You self-select the rate that works for your current situation — no documentation required, no questions asked.
If even our minimum rates are a barrier, contact us directly at navigate@minorconsultinggroup.com. We will work with you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a law firm or attorney?
No. The Worker’s Compass is not a law firm and Dr. Minor is not an attorney. We provide HR process guidance and advocacy education based on professional HR expertise and I/O psychology — not legal advice. If you need legal representation, we can refer you to qualified employment attorneys.
What's the difference between the EEOC, NLRB, and DOL Wage & Hour?
Each agency handles different types of workplace complaints. The EEOC handles discrimination and retaliation claims. The NLRB handles unfair labor practices and protected concerted activity. The DOL Wage & Hour Division handles wage and hour violations like unpaid overtime or misclassification. Not sure which applies to your situation? Our Initial Case Review session is designed to answer exactly that question.
How does the sliding scale work?
Every service has a standard rate and a sliding scale range. When you book, simply indicate you’d like to use the sliding scale and select the rate within the listed range that works for your current financial situation. No documentation or explanation required.
Do I have to be in New Orleans or Louisiana to work with you?
No. All consultations are available virtually, and our digital resources are accessible nationwide. In-person workshops are currently offered in the Greater New Orleans area, with Gulf South locations available for group and organizational engagements.
How long do I have to file a complaint with the EEOC?
Filing deadlines are strict and vary by agency and state. For the EEOC, you generally have 180 to 300 days from the date of the discriminatory act, depending on your state. Time is critical — don’t wait. Book an Initial Case Review session as soon as possible to understand your deadlines.
Your Next Step Starts Here.
You don’t have to figure this out alone. The Worker’s Compass exists to give you direction — clear, expert, and affordable guidance to take your next step with confidence.
